Is a veteran of Washington DC legislative processes, having successfully, anchored an unanimous US Senate Vote on her resolution #550 in 2014, to Preserve the Star Spangled Banner, and to officially recognize it's 4th verse, and to educate American children and extend the Bicentennial celebrations, in spite of fierce opposition to banish it!  Her SingItAmerica.com website was officially recognized as part of the government commission's website, StarSpangled200. Shelli enjoyed working with both Republican and Democrat members on that project to acquire 4 sponsors producing 6 drafts, having given presentations to members of Congress and political activists , military and educators. As a member of the National Press Club, she also hosted press conferences..

Shelli has enjoyed teaching at Oral Roberts University (1993), and most recently worked with young people, as an adjunct professor at the River School of Government in Tampa Bay FL.
